Pesto Pasta with Asparagus

Pasta with pesto and asparagus makes for a nice quick meal. I made this in the spring, hence the use of asparagus, but in the summer I would substitute another seasonal vegetable such as green beans or peas.

  1. would there be a recipe for this?

    • You can make your own pesto with basil leaves, pine nuts and Parmesan, but for quick meal I would suggest buying a jar of Peso Genovese. Steam or boil the vegetables until nearly done (if boiling, do it in the same pan as the pasta). Mix the vegetables and pasta with the pesto – I use about half a jar for two people but you may wish to adjust the quantities for taste.
